Guests on their safari to Moru also chose Asanja as their ground handler had an amazing sighting of this crash (family) of Rhinos in the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater which has seen a lot of rains this year was a spectacular green to contrast the beautiful grey of these endangered species. Onno the GM of Asanja Ruaha camp commented that the calf is likely to be female.
“Female calfs tend to stay longer with their mother as they are accepted by the visiting male when the mother gets into season again. Male calfs will be chased away by adult male and on occasion even killed”
A rare and lucky sighting to see the three together. Every safari is truly different and exceptional in its own right. Another exciting journey by our super Guide Eric
